The flora and fauna at the foot of the mountain is spectacular. Early morning or late evening, one is guaranteed a great site of zebras, Impalas, colobus and blue monkeys. A must visit to Kitum cave famously known for the cave licking elephants (mine salt to supplement for their green diet), but also frequented by bats who are the permanent residents of the cave. A long game drive will treat you to a rare site of buffalos and elephants. Bird lovers are not left out because over 500 type of bird species are at your disposal to watch.
